Legendary:

Many People ask me: Why are you so obsessed with 2Pac? My answer is simple and plain. He inspires me. He inspires me to be creative and remain positive in the roughest times. Pac’s whole life was a struggle. His family’s political background speaks for itself. His aunt is in exile in Cuba, his mom was a black panther, and his godfather is Geronimo Pratt. Pac had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He read regularly and that is what allowed him to be so efficient in writing rhymes. This as well as his incredible work-ethic allowed him to become the most prolific rapper of all time.
His range is what appeals to me the most. He could appreciate different types of music and art from Kate Bush to Vincent Van Gogh. I don’t agree with everything Pac ever did, but I can see that this came from a man who had been raised by a crack-fiend, been to jail, been hassled by the FBI and police, and had even been homeless. It saddens me to think that he believed everyone was against him in life. Instead of criticizing him, people should have been amazed that he made it against all odds. He is the perpetual rose that grew from concrete. An odd thing about Pac is that he had an incredible sense of humility. He didn’t believe he was handsome, even though it was obvious by the amounts of women he had even before his fortune and fame.
People can relate to his music because struggle is an underlying theme in every culture. I respect his honesty, even though being “real” is what ultimately cost him his life. One can only imagine what he could have and would have become. But even in death, 2Pac still manages to outshine his peers.
